    fliptop beer bottles for wine?

    I got some fliptop beer bottles recently. I am wondering if I can use them for storing wine? If so, it will save a lot of corks and probably eliminate the need to lay down on their sides. I am sure someone must have tried. What is the outcome? Thanks

    vitamin c to replace sorbate?

    I saw discussions about using vitamin C to replace sorbate to satblize wines. It seems attractive to me. Sorbate sounds like chemical and vitamin C sounds like fruites that we can eat as much as we want ? :HB

    Food grade tube container for sanitizing

    If there is such a container, that is long enough to take the spoon and siphons, food grade, can be sealed. Something like they use to store the map, but the material is better to be good plastic or glass. Such container would be perfect for kmeta sanitization. Any thoughts?

    Primary too small?

    So here is the picture of my primary for CC showcase Amarone. The must is only about two inches from the rim. Is it not enough to hold co2 to protect the wine?

    Cork glue really safe?

    The cork I bought is in fact consists of very small cork particles somehow glued together. On my first batch, I laid my bottle horizontal to keep wine in contact with the cork do to prevent oxidization . Now I'm worried I might have eaten the dissolved glue from the cork. Paranoid?
