I am currently making my 40th and 41st kits. I have also made wine from grapes (Merlot and Cab Sauv from Okanagan) but I don't think I'll do it again. It was fun, but too unpredictable for me. I have made kits from several different labels including Finer Wines, Winexpert, RJS, and probably some others. I mostly make high-end kits, but I'm interested in learning the tricks of the trade to make cheaper kits taste better.

Welcome to WMT. Enjoy the forum. You'll find lots of good info here, have you started looking around?

Welcome! Been at this ten years and I can say that the "tweaking cheap kits" approach didn't result in as good a product as the Finer Wine Kits. And grapes and juice have yielded complex and really good wine when I did them right.

It’s designed to make a good ever day wine out of an inexpensive kit , Heathers, $49 to $60 dollar kit
Tweaking cheap wine kits check it out , think outside the box
