Anyone hear of the new kit. They are doing away with the Crushendo kits and doing something else that they say is better. Anyone?

Here is what Tim Vandergrift had to say on another winemaking forum:

Tim Vandergrift said:
How well you know me! Again, not the place for advertising, but very
quickly:

<ul ="bbc">[*]Grapeskins were <em ="bbc">never[/i] the
end-point of technological progress for winemaking kits. If they were,
we'd sell frozen grapes.[*]Our new kit will be skin free--no
raisins or Zante currants, no wet skins. Just juice/concentrate[*]It
will not be as good as Crushendo. <strong ="bbc">It will be
dramatically better. It will be a game-changer.[/b] (Of course,
that will be up to you folks to decide. )[*]It won't be a 23 litre
kit. Any 23 litre kit made by any manufacturer will have some portion
of concentrate in it, meaning water-added. Nobody should have to pay to
ship water around.[*]It won't be a Limited or restricted product.
It will be year-round, exactly as it is now.[*]I've been working
on this product for more than a decade, and it's finally here.[*]I'm
so stoked I could jump out of my skin[/list]I promise you'll get
more info before we launch.

He later said the new product would be formally announced in mid-Sept.

We'll have to see what comes of it but in my opinion the Crushendo was still a step below all the other big brand kits so maybe they are just finally evening the playing field.

Sounds like it could use the same technology that US Elite uses in their 6 gallon kits. They ship a super concentrated juice that you add 18 L of water. I have made several of US Elite kits with great results.
