Other Wine kit shelf life

How long can one store a wine kit (unopened of course) without affecting it? Any limitation to the light or temp?

Kits have different shelf lives, generally around a year or so, your LHBS can tell you what the shelf life is of specific kits. The all juice kits typically don't store as long as the highly concentrated smaller kits.

The cooler the temps you store in, the better. Room temperature is fine, but if you can put them in a cool, dark basement or cellar, that would be better.

anything longer then a year will require new chemicals, that is potassium metabisulfite and potassium sorbate.
