I sat down with JohnT for this week's Vintner's Chair.

A inspiration to many, I was quite surprised by his history and how intense it is. From his father escaping Hungary and making it to the US to their annual grape press, I had a great time getting to know him.

I was very entertained during the process. I was reading his responses and was floored. Escaping east Germany? Family feud? Amazing.

My people came here on a boat. Couldn't tell you which one, couldn't tell you their reason for leaving. My pre US history is lost to time.
