I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired? Well..I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch , and margaritas into urine.

As a chemical engineer you must know that you are using those precursors to synthesize acetaldehyde.

When you perfect a way to go back the other way, you'll really have it made.

Your liver converts ethanol into acetaldehyde, puts it into your bloodstream, where it is carried to the lungs and exhaled. Acetaldehyde is what the breatholyzer is actually testing for when the nice policeman stops you for driving erratically.
