I just got 35 pounds of frozen raspberry, I want to make my first raspberry wine(5 gallons). But many recipes on the internet ask for 15 to 20 pounds of raspberry. Last year I made 5 gallon of Blackberry wine with 45 pounds of Blackberry and it turned out very good.

Is it OK to use 35 pounds of raspberry or it will be too much?

Thanks

Casper why not just do two batches? While it would seem a good idea to use twice as much, it will likely add too much acid and more flavor than you want. Raspberry seems to impart more flavor than blackberries and 3 pouns per gallon is usually plenty. I'm sure others will give you their opinion also and good luck.

Maybe I could make one batch with 20 pounds and another with 15.

Thanks

You could make one batch with 15 lbs and send me the other 20lbs

I have to agree. I would split the bunch in half and make 2 batches. You have plenty.
