I'm in the process of making a port wine and I want to add an F-pack to it for flavoring but my problem is that I don't have an F-pack. How do I go about making one? How much syrup is needed/recommended for a 3 gallon batch? Has anyone ever done this? Any suggestions would be a starting point. Thanks.......

Normally with my berry wine, I would use more berries, and slowly simmer them down on the stove. Finally using a mesh bag to press all the possible juice out of the berries, then boiling that juice down until it is half of what you started with.
Usually I sweeten mine to taste, but remember if you are still fermenting, adding sugar will cause it to continue fermenting more.
I have been guilty of making bottle bombs that way.
