Has anyone double filtered? Does it effect the wine? Can you filter after the primary fermentation? I double filtered some Skeeter Pee today.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by double filtering. Are you using two different size filters in line with each other or filtering twice using the same size filter? There is nothing wrong with filtering with a filter that might be 1 micron and then filtering again before bottling with a .45 micron filter.

I like to rack my wine several times and let it clear. When I filter I use a .45 micron filter as I bottle but my wine is sediment free from previous rackings.

I always double filter, go from a 5 micron down to a .45 micron on my whites.

I never do but it doesn't mean you can't. I think it's a lot of extra work and expense. Why not just carefully rack. Maybe if you were rushing a batch through you could do this.
