We have been struggling to filter some of our meads and country wines with our press filter and I feel it is time for an upgrade. One of our biggest struggles is our raspberry mead. Despite the use of pectinase and cold crashing, it still seems to plug up our press filter very quickly and we burn through way more pads than we should.

I was hoping somebody could recommended a good cross flow filter that won't completely break the bank, suitable for a small mom and pop winery that produces up to 250 gallon batches at a time.

This might be a better fit for the commercial winemaking forum? Crossflow units are really expensive, so if you want to go that way it might be best to see if there is a vendor in your area that rents them out. Some will even come on site and do it for you, but I'm guessing that won't be cost effective if you only filter up to 250 gal at a time.

Have you considered lenticular filters?
