Hi guys,

How far down should the bung be in the carboy?

Whats the best way to open the juice bags that come with the kits without one of those little bag opening tools?

Where are the labels that were supposed to come with my Island Mist kit?

Thanks guys.

I have my bungs in as far as they will go. Your wine should be no more than a couple of inches from the bottom of the bung to help prevent oxidation.

I use a regular old bottle opener to take the cap off the bag. It works like a charm!

Welcome to the board!

Bung in nice and tight, I use a clean pair of channel lock pliers to remove caps, did you pick out labels when you placed the order. Give George a call about the labels.

Ill call George tomorrow and see if he is there to check on those labels. Thanks for the idea about the bottle opener.

Get one of the bag openers from George when you call him. Nice to have around and they are cheap.

If you have a manual corkscrew, the handle usually is a bottle opener to if you have never noticed.
