Okay so I made my 2nd kit, this time a Pinot. As with my list kit the Borolo, I didn't get any foaming or aggressive bubbling with my primary fermentation. There was action, a lot of fizzing and later hissing or buzzing, but no foam. I took a taste of the first kit when I bottled it and it seemed good, tasted like a young wine. Should I expect bubbling or aggressive behavior during primary fermentation?

Some of the foam comes from the type yeast that is used [meaning some yeast foams more than others] and the amount of particles in the must seems to add to the foaming...

Most white wines dont foam up like red wines during fermentation for some reason even tough they all use the same yeast.
