Plastic smell in final product...

Has anyone heard of Brett giving off a plastic smell. I'm wondering if it could be the culprit.

It could be Brett. Brett sometimes smells mousy or like a band aid. To me it also smells like a brand new pair of leather shoes just taken out of the box. It really depends on the level of it. Others get a barnyard or horsey smell.

I'll be adding SO2 to my next kit anytime I rack but any advice on how to get rid of it once you already have it?

I'm wondering if its your cork that you put the air lock in that's giving the rubber/plastic smell? Could splash racking a couple of times help that out?
