New belt went fubar ;o(

Dang it all, I was hoping to degas my mead and the new brew belt I bought stopped working. Was fine last night when I plugged it in and this morning, she gave me the cold shoulder ;o(

I will be returning it, just curious... what is the normal life of brew belt? Assuming longer than one day of course LOL

Sorry to hear that Danj. I have three of them and they get used fairly often. They are about two years old.

There's not much that can go wrong with these so it sounds like just bad luck for you. The only thing to be careful with these is to not pull on them too much when tightening them as this can pull the casing apart and stretch the wires. I've had them for many years without problem, other than one I stretched apart and had to tape the casing back together and it still works fine.
