Hello,


We have recieved useful information from the post on this site as we are making wine for the first time (Vinters Reserve "Mezza Luna Red").Today we have racked into the carboy and had a taste, weare pleased. We purchased allnecessary items from FineVine Wines and are enjoyinglearning about this art. We live near the store and will be purchasing additionalwine kits and supplies soon.

Hi Steve and Cheryl- the Mezza Luna was my first kit also. I decided to bulk
age for several months with house toast oak cubes which worked out well. It
is medium bodied with good aroma in the glass and also good retronasal
aroma. Given price per bottle, it is a great table wine. Hope you enjoy it next
winter!

I looked at a lot of different forums before settling on this one.
There is more info on this site than in most wine making how-to books!
The people are great with very little bickering (I've seen some forums
that seem if you would get the people involved in one room it would be
a blood bath). Good luck with your wine making addiction....I mean
hobby...LOL

luna red is good and ages well. I have some 1 year and it is smooth. As this stuff gets older I hoard it more for our own consumption.


Going after vallapocellayesterday pitched the yeast this morning.


Gettin ready to bottle Pinot Grisgio . Cant spell the stuff but i can make it. Iuse aWebesters when I do labels to get the nameright.We to a hobbythat for a little work producesfine wines. You will be a hit with your friends. and dont forget they can give you not for deposit bottles for refilling. You will findwho does like wine when they give you empties in case boxes how sweet free bottles and a case box for them. There are wonderful things in all kinds of packages.

Ialso started with a mezza luna red (cheapest in case i screwed it up). I thought it was great, but as it never cleared (who knows what I didn't do) the family generously let me finish it by myself.
