Elderberry Transplant

Has anyone transplanted elderberry bushes? I have some growing bymy drivewayin the ditch and was going to put up do not spray signs but think they might be making a snow fence instead and drift the road shut. Did get enough for a gallon of wine!


Any luck or ideas on moving them?

They do transplant alright. I have done it several times before. Try to get them before they get more than 3 feet high and do in the spring.

I transplanted 20 (6-8') in late summer (with drip irrig setup). All died!

Late summer was probably the worst time to do so. You should wait until they go dormant!
