Have the same setup but use it to screen the compost material. Would also raise it up to save the knees, thanks for sharing.

I like the idea. I thought that was expanded metal mesh at first but in a close up it seems to be some type of fencing material. Seems to work well.

EWWW! I can overlook a lot of 'foreign materials' in my wine pre-fermentation and until its initially racked, but that's too much!
