Out of an over abundance of cucumbers I made a 1 gal batch of Cuke wine. I racked it other day and it tastes just like pickle juice out of the jar. Is this right or did it go bad on me? I added some more sugar, hopefully that mellows it out some. Any body ever try this before? Or is it supposed to taste like pickle juice?
 
Well since pickle juice is mainly vinegar, I would say it turned on you. Sugar probably won't help any. Next time make pickles not wine from the cukes.
 
One year we made a cucumber/lime wine. It tastes just like cucumbers with a lime twist. We use it to make salad dressing and it's excellent.

If you want to try it again, what I used was a recipe for cucumber wine from Jack Keller's site. I can't remember if it also had the lime with it or if we added that on our own.
