OK, so I have searched on this board and Google for this answer. I would like to make a cocoa merlot. I have purchased a bottle of Brewers Best Chocolate Flavoring. It says to add it prior to bottling. Anyone ever use this stuff? I was going to add it when I add my chitosan for clearing. My wife really liked a cocoa merlot she had at a winery we have visited and I wanted to try and make her some. Thanks!!!!

the easy method is to ferment the wine with cocoa powder. it takes about 4 oz per gallon. visit Jack Keller wine blog for type powder to purchase and method. He has a recipe for strawberry chocolate wine that can be followed for making your desired wine.
