I have a few wild chokecherry trees on the edge of our ravine.

I'd like to try something with the fruit.

I won't get more than 4-5 lbs. I was thinking of using them to tweak a kit.

All Ideas are welcome, the further out of the box the more fun it is.
 
Kevin...any chance you can post a few photos of trees, fruit, leaves, etc?

Elderberry wine, I wasn't able to get much a couple of years ago, so I thru them in with some elderberries, dam was that good!
 
Here are some pix. Two hot days must have ripened them. They are GONE except those in the pix. Next year maybe.

Yes, the birds usually do a good job of stripping my chokecherries. The ones they don't touch are the Canada Red chokecherries. For some reason the birds leave them alone. That's good because they are sweeter and fruitier than the regular cherries.

Next year you may want to net the trees just before they get ripe.
