Hey has anyone done the chianti alljuice or the chianti renisance? I would like to do this but need some feedback to decide which one to do and how it taste comared to a commercial chiant? Could anyone offer some experience?

I made the Renaissance Chainti last fall. The kit is a good Chianti at 14 months in bottle, but out of 4 Renaissance kits I have made sofar this is the one I am impressed with the least. The others I have made are the Valpolicella, Barolo, and Rio Grande Rojo which I like alot more. As far as a commercial Chianti I do not know what to compare it to.

We had done the AJ in each of the last two years and will do another this year. The kit is not quite as dry lacks the bouquetof the real thingbut we are still drinking it andmaking more. More time and more oak is getting us a better winein our continuingexperiment.
