I needed carboy covers. I don't have extra t-shirts laying around. I don't have the skills to make my own carboy covers like the talented people I have seen. So, I took my old Army laundry bags and sacked up my carboys and pulled the top closed. They work quite well. They are heavy enough to block out the light well and can be purchased cheaply at any army surplus store.

it amazes me of the creativity that this hobby brings out. From duffle bags to brake fluid degassers. Its awsome.

Invert your carboy box that the carboy comes in, cut out a square for the airlock, place it over your carboy. You can cut a small door in the side (3 sided cut) to view your creation. You can also insulate your carboy if necessary and recover it. When your carboy is empty, store it in the box.

Salute!
