Here in the plains of Wyoming we resently had some big thunder storms.
The rains have put all the prickly pear cactus in bloom. I have heard
of useing the cactus for wine but has anyone ever heard of using the
flowers? The blooms have a nice smell although subtle. If anyone can be
of help on this it would probably be Medpretzel, but maybe someone else
would know also. I havent ever tryed prickly pear wine. The blooms dont
last long so any quick help or answers would be apreciated. I am going
to pick as much as I can and freeze although I think fresh would be
best. I am in the mood to experiment. I think reading all Meds old
posts are rubbing off on me and causing me to see wines in stranger
this than just the super market produce section. Before you know it
I'll be raiding the neighborhood flower gardens.
