WineXpert Blackberry Island Mist 4 Years old

Last night I opened my last bottle of an Island Mist Blackberry which was the very first wine I made. This was from 2008. I have to tell you this bottle did not lose anything. It was still as awesome as it was 3 months after I bottles it.

Did you increase the ABV when you started it?

I did not increase the abv on this batch.

My Green Apple Riesling was FANTASTIC at 4-5 years. I do not do anything other than extra time in the bucket and also the carboy. I filter with a Mini-Jet. The Exotic Fruit White Zinfandel did not hold up that long. It lost a lot of flavor.

I have a black raspberry mist I have not had time to start....And I think I am going to raise the abv when I do. We do not drink wine that fast so I would like to let it age longer.

That's awesome, Dan! I hope I can keep some of my bottles that long...I'll have to stash them away somewhere.
