Today I was talking to a major competitor of mine for Chilean juice in another city. I was actually inviting him to sit in on a workshop I'm doing on Chilean Juice out of town.

We had so many winemaker stories to share we decided to meet for lunch next month.

The Winmaker (wm)that bought a pail and decided a year later to take the lid off and make it and was p!ssed it was spoiled

The wm that uses paper towels instead of a bung and airlock

The wm that shakes the Hel! out of his carboy once a week for a year and believes that's all he has to do

The wm that believes raisins improves wines...just kidding Joe, sit back down.

The stories went on and I can't wait to meet him in person. Do you have any good stories?

the wm who adds the same amount of elderberries and same amount of sugar and the same amount of lemons and oranges every year does not take any readings or tests but can not understand why his wine does not always come out great! He never changes anything so as far as he is concern it should never be different!!!!!

The wm who adds 2 lbs of sugar for every gallon, waits 2 weeks and adds another lb per gallon and can't understand why he gas no cobtrol over flavor or sugar content.

That's alcohol abuse!!
OH boy that's a good one Gina

I watched that video and have to admit, I threw up in my mouth a little.

What is the lesson to be learned here? Drinking rancid fruit punch is OK provided there is alcohol in it??
