Supply of bottles

I'm fairly new to this hobby and the problem has been getting enough bottles without having to buy them. I work for a city and this week I realized we have a recycling facility. Talked to the guy in charge of it and he told me they get tons of wine bottles. Problem solved.

Other than 375ml sample bottles, I have not had to buy any bottles. We drink about 4 bottles a week and we have several friends who give us their bottles as well.

I talked to a small local winery. He has music on Sundays and asks folks to recycle bottles. I get all I want from him. It saves him hauling them to the recycling center!!!

He also said he would sell me new bottles for $12.00 per dozen. Makes me wonder if its worth it to clean and de-label????
