I had that idea when it first came out! LOL instant sparkling wine! Never purchased one though. How do you control the amount of carbonation?

Mike you push a button to keep adding carbonation. Keep in mind this is made to carbonate H20 only. If you follow the instructions like I tried to do and remove the bottle you'll be wearing half the bottle. It's trial and error! LOL

Yes I would recommend buying it for an instant bottle of bubbly.

I have tried to use Sodastream to carbonate a bottle of wine and after I wiped up the gusher I did not have much wine left in the bottle.. I am not sure why the pressure that is OK for water is so extreme for wine...

It must be the sugar. Did you try again with less pressure? It is worth it.
