It all started out well enough. A friend of mine gave me several
cases of peach shake base to make wine with. It's a strange product for
making smoothies I think.Peach bits in a corn syrup and flavorings. But
the ingredients included a preservative that would prevent
fermentation.......So I made a wash from 2 cans of welches and some
sugar.As that fermented I added more sugar then more sugar until the
yeast expired from alcohol toxicity at 16.4%. Then I mixed in the peach
shake base.It struggled to re-ferment once the alcohol was diluted but I
finally put it out of its mizery with sulfate and sorbate.Then strained
out the chunks and left it to clear. It wasn't clearing well so I read
the ingredients again and notice corn starch. So I jugged it up an
called it "peach cider" and gifted half of it to my no budget buddys for
cheap entertainment.I did taste it and it was sweet and it was
peachy...weeks pass...Then I stopped by to shoot pool with some buds and
we found we were without beer,"hey but I got this peach
cider"..........About 1 am I visited the toilet,then again about a
quarter after and several more times as I waited for the 5:30 alarm.
Then came the painful morning when I went to brush my teeth I found
myself praying to the porcelain Goddess.I feel like Dr Frankenstein now.
So any how I was wondering if anyone wanted any "peach shake base" or
"peach cider" I got a few gallons left.

Thats rough buddy. At least now i know not to mix shakes and wine
