Bought a bucket of Midwest frozen grapes, fermented two weeks and squeezed out a three gallon cargirl and couldn't make myself throw out the grapes after pressing. How much water, grape juice and sugar would throw in for a second batch, that is if you were making a second batch. bk

I've done this with elderberries not with grapes but the drill is the same.

You can do this only with very dark fuir, full flavored and full off tannin !!!

Measure the weight of the pressed grapes and add an equal amount of water.
Now let it soak for a day or two and the measure acidity, SG.
Adjust accordingly but aim for a low alcohol wine. Like 10%.
Add a bit of tannin as that will have leaked out in the first batch.

"aim for a low alcohol wine. Like 10%". Why?

"Add a bit of tannin". OK I give, how do you do that? bk

You aim for a lower alcohol because you have a lighter flavor wine and the higher alcohol will hide the favor.

You can buy tannin at your LBS

Ive done this also and fopr the first time disagree with Luc, I use 1/3rd the water to weight ratio to get some flavor out of the fruit. I fully agree on keeping the sg down on a second run though.
