I just bottled a carboy of grape wine. I aged it in the carboy since Sept. of 2006. The wine taste great as you sip it. Then it leaves a salty after taste. Does anyone have any idea what I did wrong? Or what the problem is? Thank You, Badhabit.
 
By any chance did you add sodium meta to the wine instead of potassium meta?

Just wondering if you added water that had been through a water softener....
