Those scallops are between $24 and $28 a pound here in NH, Were up as high as $32 a couple of months ago. BUT we have 99 cent eggs last week and this week.

Heck, I ate them at the Maine restaurants for $32 a meal.

What a shame. That’s probably a 40 or 50 year old fish! They just finished spawning… a very stressful time for them.

ETA. Since sturgeon grow very slowly once they get big, it could even be pushing 80!

Back in the 505 this morning! 10 days on the road, 5$ a gallon gas, 2000 miles on the CRV, 3 cases of amazing Paso wine...... Spending time with our oldest daughter, SIL and grandkids. Priceless!

In a random liquor store in town I found 8 bottles of almost 20 year old wine for about a dollar each. It is bulk wine that was bottled, but from decent estates. So maybe just maybe some might be great.
