Maybe I’ve been doing this wrong….I’ve been removing all the laterals, is that correct? Or just in the fruit zone? On Syrah, Pinot Gris, and Pinot noir.
I it depends if the laterals are in the way. Pinot noir is not too aggressive but pinching laterals on Cabernet Sauvignon Will typically just encourage more laterals to grow. I will try to get laterals out of the way of the fruit just the same as I do with leaf pulling
