Just racked the 6 gal. batch of spiced apple for the 3rd time, the 1
gal. batch of blueberry melomel for the 4th time, the 1 gal.
batch of the strawberry- kiwi for the 4th time, and the 1 gallon batch
of the Langiers grape for the 2nd time. Does everyone sanitize the
racking equipment between different wines or am I just overprotective?

We do. For the short amount of time it takes, better safe than sorry. We're kind of chicken, too.

I don't unless it touches something other than a clean surface or wine.

Ah, the colors of Fall.

Thanks NW. I just deleafed my lawn and by the time I finished my front
yard was covered already, but I do this every week so that it doesnt
get knee deep.

Still pretty young so I wont judge yet but definetly needs something. I
will wait for awhile longer and retaste. Maybe sweeten it up with both
my reduced blueberry juice and some blueberry honey that my wine supply
shop carries. How is yours?

My pleasure Joan. Just so glad to be able to now that I have a digital camara.

Aren't they the best? I just got home from a birthday party for a friend's 2 year old nephew. I was in charge of pictures! I took so many, I ran out of storage space on my card! I had 309 48x32" photos on it! Yikes! I hooked my camera up to their TV and we had an instant show. They loved it! They are a wonderful invention!

Sounds like we are both on about the same page wade. Mine lacks the pronounced blueberry flavor that I was hoping for, The aroma is heavy blueberry but does not carry on over to the pallette.

Maybe next time we will have to add more blueberries and or use blueberry honey huh.
