OK I just started making wine, my brother used to make wine and still had a kit he never used it is way out of date as in 2009. I know the chemicals in it are to old my question is this though if I swap out the chemicals in it is the juice still usable also can you swap out keiselsol and chitosan for sparkloid?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance for the help.

OK I just started making wine, my brother used to make wine and still had a kit he never used it is way out of date as in 2009. That is kind of old, but what do you have to lose? I would open it and absent any really off smell of the juice, I would proceed. You only have to invest a little time and a few bucks in fresh chemicals. I know the chemicals in it are to old my question is this though if I swap out the chemicals in it is the juice still usable also can you swap out keiselsol and chitosan for sparkloid? Personally, I would get all new chemicals and yeast and, yes, you can use Sparkolloid in place of Kieselsol and Chitosan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance for the help.
