Oak dosage for cider

Does anybody have any insight into oak cube dosage for cider? I'm using heavy toast American cubes. I put in 1.25oz in a 5 gallon batch to be safe. I'm just concerned that the cider doesn't have the body to handle that much oak.

I never oaked my ciders. I would suggest ere on the light side.

I don't use oak with apple either.
