I've got a very dark red Dornfelder I made last year. It's so dark, even diluting it in water I've not been able to test SO2 levels with Titrets kits.
I'd like to ensure my SO2 levels are good before bottling. I don't have $500 to buy a Vinmetrica right now.
Does anyone here use a commercial lab to test sulfite levels? I'd be happy to send off a sample somewhere.
I'm in Ontario, Canada, but am 10 minutes from the US border so can ship to either country easily.
Otherwise I can try calling around some of the many dozens of wineries in the area, but not sure they'd be receptive to testing an outside wine.
