I just recently started drinking this wine from Finland and love it. Now I want to make it. Would using a sweet cherry fruit juice concentrate (from homewinery.com) accomplish this. It is 16% ETOH / vol so I could just use EC118 and up the sugar load and possible back sweeten with more cherry concentrate to up the cherry flavor. Please let me know what you think about this.

Some vendors list this as a cordial or liqueur. Apparently is made with wine and other flavorings, fortified. You could try a sweet cherry, but I suspect sour (morello) cherry is what you are after. Looks like there is a chocolate cherry one also. Have you considered a vodka based cherry cordial?
