ISINGLASS TO THE RESCUE

I was having a problem with my Rhubarb/Pineapple Wine clearing...used Super-Kleer KC...it always works...this time it failed.


I used 1oz of isinglass and it cleared over night...unfortunately I had a carboy cover on and missed the excitement of the event.

Could the chitosan portion of the superkleer been bad, and the isinglass compensated for it...I wonder

I wondered that also. I have used isinglass alone, and it is no comparison to super-kleer. I've used the isinglass a lot in my first fruit wines and it really didn't do much. I guess every batch is different!
