Anyone ever degass sparkling wines or champagne?

If so how did you do it without loosing the natural spark/fizz in the wine?

I'll be degassing a sparkling wine and don't want to flatten it.

I would like for it to keep its fizz, but don't want the corks popping out of the bottles.

Thanks

You dont want to degas as thats what makes it sparkling! The C02 in suspension is the sparkling effect. Are you really making a sparkling wine cause if so you need Champagne bottles with real Champagne corks wether they be tha natural corks in which you need a special corker to do so or the plastic stoppers and both the wire tie down hoods. Are you re fermenting in the bottle and doing riddling?

This question was for the Lambrusco wade. - wouldnt consider it a fully sparkling wine, but it is lightly sparkling.

If its too carbonated then i would probably just hit it very quickly with mix stir and taste it to see if it needs more.
