I just ordered some Oak spirals from here and have a questions....I have never used the spirals before, only cubes....

Are both spirals equivalent of the 3 oz. of oak that comes in a package? Or is 1 spiral equal to 3 oz. of cubes.....

It just sems easier to use the spirals as you can use dental floss or similar and don't have to rack off the cubes....

Thx

Not sure of the equivalence of them, but I just put one spiral in at a time and leave there as long as it takes or until they go neutral. Then if I want more, I add another and repeat.

I would say that 2 spirals is the equivalent as its states it is perfect for 6 gallons and 2-3 ounces is what is recommended for 6 gallons also. It states it will completely neutral after 6 weeks.
