Crown caps???

Just about ready to bottle my first batch of pee, so I purchased some crown caps (O2 obsorbing) and a bottle capper. Tested on an empty bottle and the cap spins around on the bottle after it has been crimped. Is this normal? The bottles that I am using are from Modelo beer.

NOT normal. Try another and put more pressure on the capper

There are some "non-standard" sizes of caps out there, but they're not very common. I use the European size for my champagne bottles and they're a bit larger than standard US caps.

The capper that I use is the Red Baron 2 handled capper from Northernbrewer

when I use my capper, you have to push the handles slightly over parallel to the floor. Are you sure you pushed them down far enough?
