I need to bottle 3 bathes of wine in the next two weeks and am looking for a nice and cheap, sturdy wine rack which is available for purchase in Canada.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

So far I am leaning towards picking up two Oenophilia Alexander 60 bottle racks... But that is fairly expensive... http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000N40KOO/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

I have 2 of these in my pantry and they work great for small spaces and I got them from Amazon :try

I have two of the type Rocky has. They are very sturdy. The one you are considering looks a little frail. However, pictures are deceiving. Yes, they are a little expensive, but I'd hate to lose 90 bottles of wine to a failed rack. Good luck!

I have four of these and I highly recommend them. They hold 168 each 750 ml bottles or 14 cases.

I have 2 of these 168 bottle racks, very similar to the one Rocky posted

80.99 from Seville + $30 shipping from CA to East Coast. I ordered direct from Seville for may second rack

or from Amazon

At 129.99 with free shipping.

I see I bought through amazon Nov '12 at 104.99 with free shipping. The price has increased quite a lot which probably explains why I bought one directly the last time. I also picked up the small 24 bottle rack for the kitchen.

Can you also put 1.5L bottles on this rack?

Thanx...

I see two differences in those racks:

Vancouver has chrome plating and the other one is zinc plated.

Vancouver is 18" deep and the other is 12".

Both are very similar design.

Not in the one I bought. I just tried a few and they do not fit. I had not noticed this before and I plan to put my next skeeterpee in 1.5l. Fortunately, the rack I made from wood I spaced so it would hold either so that will become my skeeterpee rack.

Another hobby of mine is woodworking and I bet I could fabricate some kind of 1.5L shelf to fit right on top of one of those 750ML shelves. Would loose some space I'm sure but would still work.

Purchasing in Canada, why not drive down to your local "Canadian Tire" store, you know what they say in those commercials " There's more to Canadian Tire than just tires! "
They have a 76 wine bottle rack available and watch for when they put them on sale, the purchase price on sale there is around $50.00. Purchasing it in Canada at your local Canadian Tire store has of course no shipping costs at all. Check the Canadian Tire store online and you will find the exact one I am talking about. I personally purchased 2 of them, on sale, before I went ahead and made 2 more additional wine racks myself.
