Ahhhhhh, the sweet smell of yeaties in my chardonnay fermenting!! My last chard I made I did the battonage process and it was awesome. (Mosti Mondaile Chard)

I am usually not a chardonnay girl, so is there really a taste difference by using the battonage method??

Battonage should smooth and round out the flavor. Also should be a little more intense.

Trouble is, unless you split a batch and do battonage on one half and not the other; then taste both in succession, you won't be able to truly appreciate the difference.

That being said, I still would always do battonage on any chardonnay I made.

Well then, battonage it is. :)I have become a fan of my own chardonnay.:)

Thank you.

Does this kit come with the ingredients and instructions for the battonage method or is that a tweak you have to make?

Rick, the battonage instructions do not come with the kit, but I saved the instructions off the forum here. If you send me a private message with your email address I will send it to you.
