Hi all,

Just siphoned from my primary into the carboy and realized the bung sold to me is too big for my carboy. (First timer here!). So, I will obviously get the right one tomorrow...but what do I do at this stage? It will be almost 24hrs before I can properly stop it up. Is there anything that I should be worried about? Currently I have the bung/airlock just sitting there....

Thanks for any advice!

Greg

Any of the above, If the fermentation is still fairly strong, pock a pin hole in t balloon or bag to allow some of the gas to escape. years ago when I made mead a bottle at a time, that was the only airlock I had. when the balloon or baggie went limp, I knew the fermentation was done

Great suggestions! I needed to put wine into a wine bottle when I racked down and was wondering how to cover it without an airlock.
