Blackberry Port

I have a blackberry wine that I made and a friend said that if I add brandy to it, it will be a port. Is that true and if so, how much do you add per750ml bottle? I wouldn't mind experimenting with a bottle or 2

All you have to do to make a port style wine is fortify it like your friend said. You can use brandy like E&J or blackberry brandy or Vodka or even grain alc. Below is a tool for you to use to calculate how much youll need depending on what product you use to fortify it.

You will also want to sweeten it. That is how you will balance the taste with the higher ABV.
