My Lord! How sad for these folks, at least they didn't lose any lives...A dream swept away....

Winery are not, they are alive, and will recover...slowly. After having losing everything, there battle is just starting..Its tough for sure.

Hey, any day you are breathing is a good day...

That being said, First a freeze, now a flood. I can see him looking up to the sky screaming "COME ON! ENOUGH ALREADY!".

But what a loss! I do feel bad for them. I imagine the vines will grow back.

Im glad it was a fresh water flood, it that is a good thing (flood I mean).
the saltwater flood we had after 4 yeas is still taking its toll.

Last time I was in Galveston and since that flood, all those big beautiful, very old oaks along the central street, which goes through Galveston, were all dead or dying. I could hardly believe the water level had gotten so high downtown. My brother still lives in Texas City; many, many years ago I lived in Dickinson.
