Thinking about trying it on some strawberry wine this year {after fermentation}. Just wanted to know if anybody has tried this with any sucesss, THANKS!

I have tried it on very dry wines and it yielded a temporary fix to make someone else's wine tolerable. I've only used it a glass at a time, i haven't tried back-sweetening with it because I'm not going to risk messing up a whole batch. I'm okay with plain old sugar for that.

Don't know that the cost would be much difference from buying wine sweetner

I have not actually done it myself but know a guy who uses it because his wife has a problem with sugar (diabetic I belive) I have tried his wine though and found it to be quite good. :b

Be sure to add sorbate prior to splenda addition. While it is considered an unfermentable sugar, it will break down over time into fermentable sugars. According to the manufacturer.

I know a woman who is diabetic and uses Splenda exclusively to backsweeten her wines.
