WAS LOOKING AT YOUR APPLE AND RASBERRY IN
CARBOY, WHY SO MUCH AIR SPACE?
I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSE TOBE ALMOST TO FER

Depends at what stage you're at. If its in primary or even in the early
to mid secondary stage of fermentation it doesn't really matter because the gases
fill up the air space at the top of the bottle protecting it. After
that it should be about 2" below the bung.

Wade is correct R.E.T. and this one was in the early stages of fermentation when that picture was taken.

RET thats how we all learn. Your learning the same way I learned, by
asking a lot of questions. These questions are vital to making wine and
sometimes like me. I just dont pick them up in books as they either
just dont get into little things (that are important) or I just get
into a daze while reading and dont absorb enough of it. Dont be afraid
to ask any questions because we all learn as you do. You might ask a
question that will get answered by someone with more experience that we
have not yet asked or even worse were about to do.
