Personally, I'd rather save $5 - $7 bucks per kit and not have labels, capsules, or a bag decapper. And, based on George's statistics, so would the majority of people.

Perhaps you all misunderstand me here. I think this stuff should be in the kit at the current price.

Peter! You poor thing!I do know how bad that must have been for you!

I'm so glad you were strong and got through it.

I did complain a lot.
Turned out I'd done most of the damage myself and run foul of SBC
security policy.
NOT A GOOD THING TO DO

I've been trying to do audio/video IM with Carol who is in the UK at the
moment. Could get the audio to work, could get the video to work.
Couldn't get the audio working with the video. The discussion website
said open up all the ports, which I did and promptly got shut down.

Couldn't get the DSL modem to work well enough to undo what I'd done.
Eventually figured a aw way so all is not calm and serene at my house.

Internation instant messenging is a LOT cheaper than $1 a minute phone
calls.

Yeah, but then I'd be wanting the kit manufacturers to take that stuff out of their kits and reduce the price by $5 - $7!

But I get the feeling that they aren't going to listen to either one of us (either by putting that stuff in their kits, or taking $5 off since they don't put it in the current kits!).

What's all the fuss about a decapper, the handle end of a heavy teaspoon has served me well for 5 kits now.

Am I the only one that uses teeth to uncap those critters? Must be left over from opening beer bottles in the "good old days".

I'm sure the 'decappers' are handy, however, I have found that a couple of vertical cuts with a pocket knife works fine. So far, I've not spilled a drop (8 kits).

I think I would have to pass on using my teeth, Curt, I wore them down opening beer bottles in the 'good ole days'.

I'll have to take mine out and trythem on my next kit.

LOL.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that it's ridiculous that a little piece of plastic like that HAS to cost $5. I'd be willing to bet that someone could manufacture it for less than half a buck.

It's not that simple anymore. Things to consider:

Employee benefits

taxes

shipping

worker comp & general liability insurance

marketing

Initial set up of machine

research on which plastic is best to use & what size is best

last but least profit
[/list]

that's just themanufacture'spart.

I've wasted 5 dollars on lottery ticket the other day, should have bought a bag decapper with it.
