    I purchased 10 - Lavlin yeast packages several months ago. I forgot about them and left in the envelope in my room. It says to refrigerate . Has 2017 expiration date. I'm in desperate need to use one and don't have anymore.

    I'm ready to bottle my muscadine wine. Should I use campden tablets or potassium sorbate ? How much of it do I use and can I bottle directly after adding it to the 5 gallons of wine ? Thank yall

    Didn't use a fruit bag

    First time making Dragon Blood

    7 days !

    Started my fermentation 7 days ago and it had a sg of 1.1. Now it's 1.016. Is it time to put into secondary ? And it's dry and I like it sweet so do I add sugar now ?

    Ph in muscadine wine.

    I defrosted muscadines, mashed them up and used a ph strip. The color matches 5-6. Now what does that mean ? Julie said that ph should be .80.

    I want to start a new batch of muscadine wine but want to get a stronger flavor of muscadine. Should I make a juice out of the muscadines or just use the whole fruit ?

    Muscadine wine

    Started my must at 1.1 sg, Before I took The hulls and seeds off my sg was 1.07 , now my sg is 1.01. Chart says alcohol level is 11.8. Took hulls and seeds off Saturday the 23 so it's been 3 days. Should I wait and try to get more alcohol or rack again ?
